Glimmers of a New Dawn

Part 2:

Friday

Friday was certainly an eye opener, in a good way at least I think it was good. I had a business coaching session, from someone that I respect and trust in their judgement, but it brought a few things home to me, that until now I really haven’t had the mental space to explore fully. That was until the email came in this morning and I’m asking the Dragon Tarot to help me explore some of the questions/points raised.

I’ve decided to borrow from the business meeting and call this “The 3 Pillars Reading”

Within the meeting, I believed that my 3 pillars could be; Teaching | Mindfulness | Physical Balance, looking back I think that physical balance, should just become Balance. Other saliant points that appeared where surrounding the unique selling point and vision/mission statements, as well as looking at goals.

So let’s explore these using the Dragon Tarot…

Wheel of Fortune: Am I the unique, selling point for my business?

The Wheel turns, day gives into night, and Yin surrenders to Yang; it is the union of opposites, and the nature of creation.

Asking the Wheel if I am the Unique Selling Point, you would think the answer would be a bit ambiguous, and under normal circumstances it would. However, these are not your typical circumstances. The Wheel in itself is turning, which is suggesting that it is time for change.

Turning the methaphor into an answer, it would say: This change may require stepping out of this self-imposed darkness and turn on the light; therefore, if moving forwards in business means being the selling point, then perhaps now is the right time to do it.

Strength: What is your Vision & Mission Statement?

Firstly from what I understand, the vision statement is what you want to do, whereas the mission statement is how you’re doing to do it. The very first thought that crossed my mind, so glad this answer is being handled by Strength!

Strength is in essence forcing my hand here, it is wanting me to look at this and give an answer which is honest and unveiled. It would be way to easy to fall into ambiguity and vagueness with this. I’ve encountered this so many times, and so many more after that, when I have asked others that work on the fringes, what is that you do exactly?

I have encountered many an answer that has left me with more questions, than I started out with. Problem is that I too fell into that trap, because until Friday it was all I knew how to do. Within me I know what it is I do, and how I do it, but outwardly I don’t really know how to explain it.

Now Strength sits in this question house, and is calling me out; it is saying okay so cut the mystique and come out with it, what is it you do and how do you do it?

My vision statement in honesty is “I’m a Mystic, a teacher of the old ways, healer of the soul, and reader of the heart.” Which sounds wonderful, and yet is completely vague and wouldn’t hold water in the terms of business.

My mission statement with honesty is “I do this through teaching Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Massage and Related Therapies, I help through Tarot, Reiki, and Past Life Regression, when required” Which again sounds wonderful, but does it actually hold water?

Strength calls me out, but when I answer that call I do so with my soul, not some business strategy, because for me they need to be the same thing.

The Magician: Goals

Lastly the Magician sits within the question of Goals, I know one of them is to finish the Education and Learning Diploma within the next 5/6 months. That is the important and over arching goal, but the Magician is already saying that is a given, I don’t have that much left to do with it.

Outside of that goal, what else do I want to achieve? I have a sense of direction, drive, and purpose. Part of that is doing the groups of Tai Chi and Qi gong, I’ve even started to become a bit braver and introducing some of the philosophy such as union of opposites, yin and yang, but only enough so that it doesn’t come across as a philosophy class instead of a mindful moving through Tai Chi/Qi gong.

I would love to actually write and get certified a teaching Tai Chi and Qi gong qualification. It is one of the several ideas that I have in the aether of my soul, I have other things I would like to pass on, so you could say that I have some goals laid out.

So now you understand what happened on Friday and the answers that this has created for me, so let move forward towards a conclusion and back to today’s blog hop…
